Helping Hand Waterford prides itself on the value our Volunteers bring to our services. If you would like to volunteer with Helping Hand Waterford, please get in touch. Volunteer Information

Hours

Volunteers are asked to give 2 hours a week,. As we currently provide Service, Monday to Friday, volunteers are expected to cover one of these days.

Volunteers are on service from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

Roles and Responsibilties

At Helping Hand Waterford we have two main volunteer roles, Supervisory Volunteers and Service Delivery Volunteers. We ask new volunteers for a commitment of 12 months.

Training and Support

As part of the training process, Volunteers are expected to complete 3 shadowing sessions, and new volunteers have a probationary period of 6 weeks or 6 service sessions.

Our Volunteers

The minimum age to volunteer with Helping Hand Waterford is 18. Our volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds and all ages. We ask volunteers to simply be themselves, show empathy, respect and be non-judgmental in participating with Helping Hand Waterford.
